The shield is made of nickel silver with a red enamel background. The bolsters are made of nickel silver.  The blades are made of hand forged polished stainless steel. The primary cutting blade is etched with "ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS SOLINGEN GERMANY HAND HONED." The handles are made of  beautiful stag.
