The U.S. M7 bayonet is a Vietnam-era (circa 1964) combat knife designed for the M16 rifle, featuring a 6.5-inch parkerized steel blade, black checkered grips, and a 2-inch muzzle ring. Marked "BOC" (Bauer Ordnance Company) on the crossguard, this fighting knife is paired with the M8A1 scabbard featuring a M1910 wire hook.

 Features:
  • Bayonet (M7): Features a 6.5-inch black-finished carbon steel blade, total length of approx. 11.5–12 inches, with a wide muzzle ring (approx. 22mm) to fit the M16 flash hider.
  • Maker Mark (BOC): Indicates production by the Bauer Ordnance Company, often marked as "US M7" over "BOC" on the crossguard.
  • Grip: Black molded plastic/checkered grip with a steel pommel containing a locking mechanism for the rifle.
  • Scabbard (M8A1): The USM8A1 scabbard is made of olive drab fiberglass with a steel throat and a web belt hanger. "PWH" (Pennsylvania Working Home for the Blind) is a common manufacturer marking on these scabbards.
  • Functionality: Designed for the M16 rifle, but fits the M4 carbine and, due to its design based on the M3 Fighting Knife, functions effectively as a combat knife.
