Robert E. Molenaar Custom Knife ~

We are proud to bring to you,  (5) Robert E. Molenaar Custom , Handmade Knives. This knife has an Stone handle, brass guard and butt, Fiber and Brass spacers and is signed R.E.M. This is one of his finest knives and each is a one of a kind knife.

Robert E. Molenaar began making knives at around age 75, an interest sparked many years prior by his blacksmith grandfather. He learned to forge his own steel and made upwards of 500 knives. Most of his knives are hand forged from 5160 steel, but has used a variety of other steels, M2, D2, W2 and pattern welded Damascus.Handle materials include wood , bone and stone. The main style of handle construction is a narrow hidden thru tang that is threaded on the end and a brass nut is applied at the butt cap ( this is all epoxied together).
