Rigid Trapper R-55 Gaucho ~ Vintage 

The vintage two-blade Rigid Trapper R-55 "Gaucho" is a collectible knife made in the USA in the 1980s. This  "Gaucho" 55 is the rare version with a bowtie shield, most have no shield. The original Rigid brand was founded by former Buck Knives employees in the early 1970s. Their knives were known for their robust, "overbuilt" quality. After the original company closed in the late 1980s, the Rigid name was used by other manufacturers, and some models were made in Japan.
