Randall Knives  TRIATHLETE ~ 

The Triathelete was designed for those that needed a lightweight, but heavy duty, hard-use knife. Originally designed for athletes planning a marathon in Alaska, the Triathlete model has found itself being used by runners, bikers, hikers, or even those just needing a back up knife that won't weigh you down.
The satin finished 3" drop point blade is forged 440B stainless steel. It was heat treated to Hrc 55-56, ensuring a resilient, durable edge. The left side of the blade features the Randall Knives logo: "Randall Knives - Orlando, FL". An S in the mark signifies this is a stainless steel blade. The spine of the blade is notched for a secure thumb purchase.
The handle is skeletonized to reduce weight. An additional hole at the back of the handle allows for adding a lanyard for extra retention.

6 1⁄2” overall length of 3/16” stainless steel stock. 3 1⁄4” blade length. Handle length of 3 3/8”. (sandblasted handle).  Skeletal knife designed for a long-distance runner planning to carry this lightweight tool during a 150 mile race in Alaska. Supplied with black clip sheath.

The age is unknown, but it came from a collection from the 1970`s to the early 2000`s.
