Opinel Collection 'La Main Couronnée' set of 10 ~ Vintage 1967-1980

• Knives Included: The set typically comprises 10 knives, ranging in size from the tiny No. 02 to the large No. 12.
• Blade Material: The vintage sets are primarily known for having carbon steel blades, which are highly valued for their excellent cutting edge and ease of resharpening. Carbon steel requires specific care (wiping dry and potentially oiling after use) to prevent corrosion and the development of a patina.
• Handle Material: The handles are made from varnished beechwood, a hard, resistant, and sustainably sourced wood common in the French Alps region. The varnish helps protect the handle from moisture and dirt.
• Locking Mechanism: Knives from No. 06 to No. 12 in the set feature the patented Virobloc® safety ring, a rotating lock that secures the blade in both the open and closed positions for safety during use and transport. Smaller knives (No. 02 to No. 05) generally do not have this locking ring.
