Kershaw 1900 E.T. ~ 1st Production Run ~ 2005
The Kershaw 1900 E.T. (External Toggle) is a unique, award-winning folding knife (Most Innovative American Design 2005) by Grant & Gavin Hawk, featuring a distinctive one-handed opening/closing mechanism using an external toggle on the handle, a Sandvik 13C26 blade with a built-in carabiner, a secure rolling safety, and lightweight black anodized aluminum handle. First Production Run Marking: Models from the first production run are specifically marked "First Production Run 1 of 500" on the blade
- External Toggle (E.T.) System: The signature feature, a roller on the spine, allows ambidextrous one-handed opening and closing with practice, acting like a unique lever.
- Blade: 3.25-inch Sandvik 13C26 stainless steel, with a bead-blasted finish.
- Handle: Anodized 6061-T6 aluminum
- Safety: A knurled roller safety on the spine locks the blade securely closed to prevent accidental deployment.
- Carabiner Function: A built-in carabiner clip on the blade allows easy attachment to a belt loop.
- Bottle Opener: Includes a convenient bottle opener integrated into the design.
- Ambidextrous: Features a reversible pocket clip for left or right-hand carry.
- Winner of the 2005 Blade Magazine award for the "Most Innovative American Design".
How it Works (Toggle):
- The handle is made of three interconnected aluminum pieces.
- Flicking the tailpiece (or using the toggle roller) moves the internal mechanism, flicking the blade open or closed.
- The external safety lock prevents the blade from opening when engaged.
