Hudson Bay / Mountain Man Style knife ~ Antique ~ Rare

This is an amazing Hudson Bay / Mountain Man Style knife. This style of " Frontier " knife was primarily from the 1830`s to the 1890`s , although it could be much older. This would almost certainly be a one of a kind knife. It is a historical relic of American history. It is a very large , heavy knife , full tang with a leather handle with brass studs on each side. The guard is rectangular steel. It measures 13" OAL  with an 8" blade. Blade is about 1/4" thick and 1 1/2" wide. There are no makers mark or stamps of any kind, which is not unusual for a knife of this age and style. It comes with a leather sheath that looks to be original. It has 43 brass studs on the front. Both the knife and the sheath are in amazing condition to be 100 to 200 years old. The leather end of the handle is worn. Please see all photos to determine condition.
