Features of the
1977 Mark I
- The 1977 Mark I has a 4.75-to-5-inch, double-edged dagger blade made from L6 high-carbon tool steel. The use of L6 steel lasted from 1976 until 1981, when Gerber switched to 440C stainless steel.
- Handle: The handle is a single piece of aluminum with a lanyard hole at the base. It has a textured coating, a style referred to as "Armorhide." The original 1976 version had a dark green handle.
