Gerber 06410 Chameleon I 1st production run is a U.S.-made folding knife known for its distinctive open-pivot finger hole design and Blackie Collins bolt lock mechanism. The Gerber Chameleon I , is a 1st Production Run made folding knife from the late 1980s or early 1990s.
 
The Gerber Chameleon I, model 06410, was designed with a unique large, open pass-through pivot that allows the user to place an index finger through it for an extremely secure "safety grip," preventing the hand from slipping onto the blade edge during use.
