Rare Vintage G. Sakai Small "Pack Rat" Folding Knife TA101 Designed by Masao Takahashi with Black G. Sakai Nylon Sheath. This is a very beautiful and solid knife featuring a 2 1/2" razor sharp plain edge AUS-6 stainless steel blade (3/32" thick Rc 57-59), full stainless steel liners, Rear lock-back, and bolsters have a satin finish. Handles are a beautiful black linen micarta with kind of a wood grain pattern, closed the knife is 3 3/4" long . Overall Length 6 1/4" This is part of the Trout & Bird collection of G. Sakai This is an extremely well made knife, very solid, thin and sleek. The back of the blade has a false-sharpened edge, and the factory edge is razor sharp. Excellent knife for the Spyderco or Seki-made knife collectors, this is a pretty rare knife. This was known as the "Pack Rat". C. mid 1980`S TO 1990`s.
