1. Swivel Bolster Release Mechanism

Unlike modern button-unlock folders, this classic design uses a swivel bolster lock (also known as a pivoting bolster) to close. While the knife deploys fast via a standard push-button on the handle, it locks solidly into place upon opening. To unlock and fold the blade back down, you firmly pivot or tilt the top bolster forward with your thumb to release the leaf spring mechanism.

2. Flat Grind Blade

Traditional Italian stilettos generally feature a triangular "bayonet" grind or a dagger profile. A flat grind tapers directly from the spine all the way down to the cutting edge.
