CRKT 2510 Bear Claw ~ Vintage

CRKT (Columbia River Knife and Tool) 2510 Bear  is a fixed-blade, rescue-oriented knife known for its distinctive hawkbill blade shape and secure, ergonomic handle design. It was designed by Russ Kommer and is primarily intended as an emergency cutting tool for situations where quickly cutting rope, webbing, or netting is crucial, such as for law enforcement, emergency rescue personnel, fishermen, and parachutists.

The CRKT Bear Claw 2510 is built for functionality and safety in high-stress situations. Its primary feature is the inclusion of a large finger hole for excellent control, which makes it feel like an extension of the hand.
  • Blade Style: The knife features a hawkbill blade, which is curved inward, with Triple-Point Serrations and a blunt "tear drop" safety tip to prevent accidental point penetration during use.
  • Blade Material: The blade is made from AUS-4 stainless steel (some variations may use AUS-8), known for its durability and corrosion resistance, particularly in wet environments.
  • Handle Material: The handle is made of tough, lightweight glass-reinforced nylon (GFN or Zytel), which is contoured to fit the hand neatly and features jimping for a secure grip.
  • Sheath and Carry: It comes with a durable, injection-molded GFN sheath designed for a variety of carry options, including belt, pocket clip, or neck lanyard. The knife is designed for quick release via a thumb push or sharp pull.
