Richard Petty 1992 Fan Appreciation Commemorative Case XX knife. This knife is brand new and has never been sharpened, carried or used. It was issued to commemorate Richard Petty's 1992 Fan Appreciation Tour. It comes in a Cherry wood display box. This box is measures 9" x 7 1/4" closed. It is a beautiful box for displaying and protecting your knife. Also on the outside of the box is a 5 color insert for Richard Petty and the 1992 Fan Appreciation Tour. On the inside of the beautiful cherry box is a brass plate with Richard Petty's facsimile signature. The knife is an imitation Ivory handle large Coke bottle pattern that measures 5 3/8" closed. It was designed by Faye Myers of Originals by Faye. The scrimshaw is of Petty's #43 crossing the finish line under a waving checkered flag. The blade has intricate scroll work color filled with gold. The number 0897 is etched on the blade. There were only 2000 of this set made. Both nickel silver bolsters front and back are beautifully scrolled. The blade tang reads Case XX Bradford, PA 19USA92. The back tang has I1050 SS. To finish out this set is a silver medallion with a profile of "The King" on the front. The back of the medallion certifies this to be a Limited Edition set produced by Case XX & Sons Cutlery Co. and also has a brief history of the Living Legend Richard Petty. "Long Live The King".
