The 1985 Case XX Limited Edition Copperhead Set is a highly collectible, two-piece pocket knife set produced by W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co. Restricted to a limited production run of only 1,500 serialized sets, this release is highly sought after for its distinct premium accents and rare "new grind" blade geometries.
Knives & Patterns
- 6249 SS (Standard Copperhead): Measures 3-7/8 inches closed and 7 inches when fully opened.
- 62109X SS (Baby Copperhead): Measures 3 inches closed and 5-1/4 inches when fully opened.

Physical Specifications & Materials
- Blades: Crafted from Tru-Sharp Stainless Steel featuring laser-etched accents. The master blade uses a standard clip point, accompanied by a smaller pen secondary blade.
- Tang Stamps: Stamped with
CASE XX SS USAalongside a 5-dot configuration indicating its 1985 manufacture year. - Handles: Made of Burnt Natural Bone (sometimes referred to as burnt white or antique bone) with custom jigging.
- Bolsters: Features distinctive, premium fancy scrolled Nickel Silver bolsters rather than the standard smooth finish. The copperhead bolster is specifically designed to sit proud and wrap around the joint to prevent the blade tang from snagging on pockets.
- Liners: Solid brass construction.
- Shield: Double Oval "Open C" Case inlay shield.
Packaging
The pair was originally issued inside a specialized, hardshell metal presentation box lined with form-fitting velvet to safely display both serialized knives.
