1979 Case XX Li’l Devil (Model P51-SSP) is a highly collectible, vintage fixed-blade skinning and hunting knife manufactured in the United States by W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co.

  • Blade Length: Approximately 2 ⅝ inches to 3 inches
  • Blade Material: Stainless steel (designated by the "SSP" stamp, which stands for Stainless Steel Polished)
  • Blade Shape: Drop point / skinning profile
  • Tang Construction: Full tang for durability
  • Handle Material: Hardwood / Exotic wood scales secured with pins

Details
  • Blade Etching: The front of the blade features the text "Li'l Devil". 
  • Tang Stamp & Dating: For a true 1979 production model, the tang stamp reads "CASE XX USA" and features a 1-Dot configuration beneath it. According to Case's historical dating system, they started with 10 dots in 1970 and removed one dot each year; a single dot specifically indicates a 1979 manufacture date. 
  • Sheath: Original genuine brown leather belt sheath, decorated with a basketweave texture and stamped with the Case XX logo.
