The Case XX 64052 4-Blade Medium Congress from 1975 is a highly collectible slipjoint pocket knife, identifiable by its 5-dot tang stamp located beneath the "USA" marking on the primary blade.

  • Pattern Number: 64052.
  • Blades: Features four blades typically made of Chrome Vanadium (CV) carbon steel or Tru-Sharp stainless steel.Handle (Scales): Made of "Pretty Bone," often referred to as Red Bone or Jigged Bone, known for its deep color and textured grip.
    • Blade Types: Sheepsfoot, Spear, Coping, and Pen blade.
    • Blade Length: Usually under 2.75 inches.
  • Dimensions: Approximately 3.63 inches (3 5/8") when closed.
  • Construction: Includes nickel silver bolsters and a pinned shield on the handle. 
 
Dating & Authenticity
  • 1975 Tang Stamp: Authenticate this year by looking for 5 dots on the tang stamp. Case used a 10-dot system in the 1970s, removing one dot for each year (10 dots for 1970, 9 for 1971, etc.).
  • Pattern Code: The "6" indicates bone handles, the "4" specifies the number of blades, and "052" is the factory pattern for the Medium Congress.
