• Pattern: The "6231 1/2"  pattern number. The code indicates bone handle material ("6"), two blades ("2"), and the specific factory pattern ("31 1/2").
• Dating: Knives made between 1940 and 1964 by Case XX have specific tang stamps that identify the era. There are no dots associated with the tang stamp during this period

• Features:
• It is a two-blade jack knife.
• The main blade is a clip type and measures 2 7/8 inches.
• The second blade is a long spear and measures 2 1/4 inches.
• The handle is jigged bone
• The blade steel is high carbon steel
