The Blue Wasp Knives "Jackal" (2016) by custom knife maker Scott Haberman is a highly rugged, handmade fixed-blade heavy-duty, mid-sized outdoor utility and bushcraft knife built entirely by hand. Knives from this 2016 era represent early-to-mid career work by Haberman, highlighting robust, minimalist tactical and wilderness designs.

 Description
  • Blade Material: O-1 Tool Steel. This high-carbon steel is renowned in custom knife making for its exceptional toughness, ease of sharpening in the field, and superb edge retention. Because it is carbon steel and not stainless, it requires a light coat of oil to prevent patina or corrosion.
  • Handle Scales: Black G-10. G-10 is a high-pressure fiberglass laminate that is virtually indestructible. It does not absorb moisture, crack, or expand, and Haberman typically gives his G-10 scales a textured finish to guarantee a secure grip under wet or muddy conditions.
  • Sheath: Custom fitted Blood Red Kydex Sheath. A signature tactical accent, this thermoformed sheath provides tight, snap-fit retention without the need for a strap, protecting the carbon steel blade from the elements.
  • Build: Full-tang construction, typically featuring heavy stock thickness (often around 5/32” to 3/16”) designed to handle abusive camp tasks like batoning wood or heavy carving.
  •  Scott Haberman's custom pieces are individually handmade in limited quantities
