 Benchmade 810 Osborne Contego

The Benchmade 810 Osborne Contego (Serrated) is a heavy-duty tactical folding knife designed by Warren Osborne, specifically engineered for extreme durability and "hard-use" applications. Named "Contego" (Latin for "to protect" or "shield"), it belongs to Benchmade's professional Black Class lineup.

Blade Characteristics
  • Edge Type: The serrated model 810SBK features a partially serrated edge for increased utility when cutting fibrous materials like rope or webbing.
  • Blade Style: A distinctive Reverse Tanto design that provides a high-strength tip for piercing while maintaining a large "belly" for effective slicing.
  • Material: Constructed from CPM-M4 Super Steel (62-64  HRC), an ultra-tough tool steel known for exceptional edge retention and wear resistance.
  • Finishes:  Black Cerakote

Handle & Mechanism
  • Locking Mechanism: Utilizes the ambidextrous AXIS Lock, which allows for smooth, one-handed operation and provides a "vault-like" lockup capable of withstanding significant force.
