AL MAR 3005.6 SERE (SURVIVAL-ESCAPE-RESCUE-EVASION)  ~ RARE ~ Vintage 1980`s

AL MAR Sere tactical fighting knife with a black leather sheath . Sheath is marked 3005.6 on the back. Al Mar was in Special Forces and became a designer for Gerber knives and is in The Cutlery Hall of Fame. He started Al Mar Knives and made the first Tactical fighter, the Sere fighter, a fixed blade, full tang drop point, spear point blade of VG10 Stainless steel and stainless steel bolsters or hilt, overall length of 12 and 1/2 inches. The handle is of black and brown micarta with a lanyard hole.  Grind lines and fit are perfect.  Micarta handle is approx 5.5" long .The blade is just over 7 inches long. Knife blade is marked "Seki" japan
